Lynx News: pertaining to the Breaking scene in MTL

What's up tout le monde...
Just wanted to let you know about some stuff going down in Mtl in the next while...

1. My crew "All or Nothing" and b-boy Prototype from Area 51 will be performing a new break piece that I choreographed with help from WD-40. We'll be in a circus show called 'Museo' at the TOHU. It's on Nov. 22 at 7:30pm and it's free. You just have to reserve tickets on Nov.13 by calling this number: 514-376-TOHU (8648) . Supposedly the tickets go very fast so call right away on the 13th.

2.
Check out the new website/forum for breaking in Mtl: www.mtlbboying.com. On that site (especially if you become a member) you can get information about all the upcoming breaking & funk styles events in Montreal. This weekend there's Strawberry Jam Session at 6pm (no late entry) at
Salon Daome, 141 Mont-Royal East, near Mont-Royal Metro, 5$ (Check the site for the flyer and more info)

3.
Anyone who didn't get the chance to see 48 Steps duet 'Into the Unknown' we'll be performing it at Dawson on Nov. 17 at 9:30pm. 48 Steps is the dynamic duo of myself (b-girl Lynx) and b-boy WD-40. Location is yet to be confirmed...(I will send more info). The event is a night of comedy and dance. It's a fundraiser for L.O.V.E. and for the family of Anastasia de Souza.

4.
This summer myself (b-girl Lynx), b-boy 4everFresh, Scrambledlegs, Jester & b-girl Lunacee were the Canadians selected from hundreds of applicants worldwide to go and represent at the Redbull Beatriders dance camp. It was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had in my dance career. I met and took classes with Ken Swift, Burn 1 & Mr. Loose (7 Gems), Zulu Gremlin, Asia One, Mr.Wiggles, Boogaloo Sam, SugarPop, Crazylegs, Brian Green and many others. Some of the other riders you might have heard of are Iron Monkey, Lil Bob and Nasty Ray. If you want to check out the videos & pics of the riders and our time at the camp go to: http://redbullbeatriders.com/. I really recommend that other dancers from our area try out for this experience. It was really dope. In 2004 b-boy Lazylegs and b-girl Feisty were also Riders.

5.
The American b-boy event Pro-Am is coming to Montreal on Dec.16 at Les Saints Concert Hall, St.Catherine E. Doors open at 9pm. There will be 3on3 battles. Check the mtlbboying site for more info or to enter contact bboy Lazylegs at bboy_lazylegz@hotmail.com

6. Heads up for Break Survivor presented by Lynx & 48 Steps. A 2on2 b-boy/b-girl battle with an original twist. On Jan. 6 at 6pm at Bill Wong's on Decarie. First place $300. More info to follow soon...To enter contact b-girl Lynx at k8alsterlund@gmail.com

That's all for now folks...
Peace.
